4th Fun!

We had a lot of fun on the 4th of July this year. We love our country and we love to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy. We had a great time at the parade with Kris' fam and the Bergens'. Katie Grace and Audrey had the opportunity to ride on the float for their little dance group. They were both so excited to get to do it, afterwards, however, I think KG was just glad it was over. She was so hot and the hay bales they were sitting on were pretty pokey. But I was glad they got to do it together and they had a lot of fun. Then we went to a bbq at Uncle Eric and Aunt Lynne's, we enjoyed the amazing weather and good company while the kids played in the irrigation and swam a bit in Grandma Archibald's pool and took rides in Grandpa Archibald's golf cart. After that we came home for a nap before our little fireworks show and right after that we walked around the corner to the canal where we sat on the bank and had a perfect view of the fireworks from the fairgrounds. All in all an excellent day!

Here's a pic of Little Rex Jackson with Big Rex Jackson

Enjoying our fireworks, the kids love the smoke bombs

Ready for the show

It's still light outside but we didn't even start lighting stuff until about 9:30

What a fun 4th of July. Wish I could have been there, especially to see the girls in the parade. I have been in Rexburg for 3 4th of Julys and never been to the parade...next year for sure. Hopefully I will get to see a police man fall off his back. HaHa I am still laughing about it picturing it in my head. Love the picture with Rex and Rex.

Looks like the perfect all American way to spend the 4th. Rexburg really is a small all American town. Much more so than Mesaco, if you know what I mean. Maybe it's just too big. Anyway, Gracie and Audrey got to ride the float together? SO cool. What a great memory. And you know I am jealous of your fireworks. What a great show! Love you guys.
