Four Wheeling Fun

This weekend we were invited to go camping and four-wheeling with some friends of ours. Of course it had to be rainy and super windy the first night we were there and we debated coming home but we were troopers (although at this point I don't think we'd qualify as happy campers) and decided to stick it out. Good thing, because Saturday turned out to be a perfect day in spite of my crankiness due to lack of sleep from the night before. Anywho, we had a great time playing in the creek (well, the kids did) and going on some rides. The boys went first and rode to the top of a mountain and then the girls took their turn. It was about a three hour ride and was tons of fun. I had never been 4-wheeling like that and it was a blast! It definitely appeals to that thrill seeker in me.

T-Ball Time

Owen had a fun little season of summer t-ball. I'm not sure if it had enough action for him though. He's disappointed that he's not playing soccer this summer. Maybe in the fall...

Here's the team

Birthday Boy!

Rex' birthday was two weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to posting some pics. We've had an extremely busy summer (honestly) and I am thoroughly exhausted with no end in sight! I can't believe Rex is four, he still seems like my little boy and I'm not too anxious for him to grow up. I can hardly think about him starting school in a year. For now I will just enjoy his silliness, his zest for life and his ability to make me laugh! I love this little guy! Happy Birthday Rex!

So excited to be 4!

Couldn't resist posting this one! Makes me laugh!

The Graduate

I'm just now getting around to posting the pictures from Owen's kindergarten graduation which took place on May 25th. Kris thinks these kind of things are lame but I think they are adorable. Owen absolutely refused to wear a tie. I tried but I wasn't in the mood to fight him. I did promise him that there would be other boys there wearing ties, but he would not believe me. Oh well, I think in the end he knew Mom was right. :)
Now- off to school all day and eating lunch in the cafeteria- yay!

On this video I swung over to get a shot of Owen's friend Parker. She's the adorable little girl in the polka dot dress.

Sorry about the sound in this one (they have the crappiest sound system at their school) so you can't really hear Owen reading his poem but at the very end I swung over and got a quick shot of the words.

Doesn't this one just make you want to get up and do Riverdance! Unfortunately, I had Rex on my lap at this point causing all kinds of wiggly mayhem so sorry for the carsickness.

This is just the beginning of all those big dreams!
